“Facade as an Knitwear”
The design introduces an innovative claustra system, seamlessly weaving all floors into a unified architectural expression, inspired by the principles of modular constructivism.
Drawing inspiration from the intricate patterns of knitwear, the façade forms an enlarged woven structure where the interplay of solid and void creates a rhythmic texture that provides natural shading and ventilation. This permeable skin acts as a sustainable envelope, punctuated by a vertical forest featuring cascading greenery that enriches biodiversity, improves air quality, and enhances thermal comfort.
In this project, we merge multiple programmatic elements—building envelope, shading system, and outdoor amenities—into a singular architectural gesture, blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces.
The interwoven terraces and open-air corridors, reminiscent of loops in knitted fabric, foster a continuous spatial flow that encourages interaction and communal living. Rising 30 stories, the residential high-rise will accommodate 117 thoughtfully designed units, each benefiting from ample daylight, natural ventilation, and extended green spaces.
At ground level, a dynamic retail zone enlivens the streetscape, reinforcing the connection between the building and the surrounding urban fabric.
